ふたたび長石吟味
前回は酸化。今回は還元で入って、酸化に戻る。温度は低く、長くねらしてみる。
ちょっとT.S.エリオットの詩が気になった。
We die with the dying:
See, they depart, and we go with them.
We are born with the dead:
See, they return, and bring us with them.
The moment of the rose and the moment of the yew-tree
Are of equal duration.

最後の句、「バラ（生命の象徴）のいのちもイチイ（死の象徴）のいのちも長さは同じだ」に西洋文化の閃光を見る。そこにはへリックやシェイクスピアもいる。
